Matriarch Medicine: Bridging Earth & Sky

My journey with plants and language took root during my years at Northern Arizona University, where I earned degrees in Botany and Spanish while exploring the stunning landscapes of the Colorado Plateau. After graduation, I joined the Peace Corps, working alongside women’s groups and agricultural communities in rural Bolivia. It was there that I discovered the profound joy of empowering others and promoting sustainable farming practices—an experience that deepened my understanding of community, resilience, and the interconnectedness of nature.

Returning to the U.S., I pursued a certificate in Clinical Herbalism from the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine, igniting a lifelong passion for the healing power of plants. A pivotal chapter of my life began during my Saturn return when I moved to the Bronx to work for the New York Botanical Garden. There, I managed the Global Plants Initiative, a career milestone that involved collaborating with over 150 botanical institutions worldwide, honing my research skills and expanding my global botanical network. This period was followed by five dynamic years in the legal cannabis industry, microgreens farming, and culinary botany—seemingly diverse pursuits that all revolved around a central theme: the connection between plants, people, and unconventional perspectives on the world.

I’ve always been a nomad at heart, with a curiosity for exploration that has taken me to over 65 countries and all 50 U.S. states. In 2017, a transformative journey around the world brought me to Bali, Indonesia, where I met my astrology mentor—a meeting that profoundly shaped my life’s direction. Under his guidance, I began an intensive study and practice that deepened my sense of purpose, ultimately leading me to become a professional astrologer. During this time, I also trained in shamanic breathwork facilitation, yoga, reiki, and became ordained as a shamanic minister. These experiences expanded my relationship to the sacred and unseen, laying the foundation for the work I would establish in the years to come.

In 2019, I created Matriarch Medicine to weave together my passions and experiences. Today, it serves as a platform for astrological guidance, transformative travel, and connection to nature. Through group trips, workshops, and a curated astro-herbal apothecary, I help others find clarity, empowerment, and alignment. I’m also continuing my studies in astro-herbalism at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism and refining my craft in botanical alchemy.

You can usually find me joyfully immersed in nature, catching up with friends across the globe, savoring cuisine rooted in local agriculture, or discussing all things astrology and plants. Whether I’m guiding a journey, crafting herbal blends, or dreaming up my next adventure, my mission is to help you get in touch with your highest and most authentic self. Together, we can co-create the life you’re destined to live.
